LIFE LEARNING CREDIT INFORMATION
At West Coast Bible College & Seminary, we believe that your personal learning experiences in ministry are valid in relationship to education equivalence. That's why we've developed a life learning policy that recognizes your experience and will give you up to 30 hours of college credits at the Bachelor level.
The object of the life learning portfolio is to demonstrate that you have had valuable learning experiences that are worthy of collegiate credit. Therefore, the better the portfolio the better the likelihood you will receive credit. Remember: You can receive 4 credit hours for full-time ministry involvement, 2 credit hours for part-time ministry involvement, and 1 credit hour per seminar/conference that lasted a minimum of 3 days. (Conferences may be combined to earn credits, as well)
Here's how it works:
The life learning portfolio is like a resume, with more detailed information about each specific responsibility you had in the ministry (whether full-time or part-time). In addition, you should include a list of all conferences or seminars you attended, dates of attendance, and the specific information that was taught and learned, as well as how it impacted your life and ministry.
The payment for life learning credits are half of what our standard tuition would be ($25.00 per each three hours transferred in). Again, there is a maximum of 30 hours that can be given through life learning credits and ALL students are required to take a minimum of 30 hours from West Coast Bible College & Seminary to complete your degree.
