MRP 601 Project Learning Outcomes

OUTCOME #1: Exegetically competent to comprehend and communicate the Word of God in any setting

  • The student must address their problem by accurately applying the Word of God in their context

  • The student must demonstrate their ability to comprehend and communicate an accurate biblical response

OUTCOME #2: Theologically competent to understand and uphold the Truth of God’s Word to any person or audience

  • The student must respond competently examine the response of God and His people in the Scriptures to similar problems

  • The student must communicate their message in a way that is consistent with biblical Truth

OUTCOME #3: Pastorally competent to lead and equip individuals and teams to accomplish the Great Commission, whether vocationally or voluntarily 

  • The student must demonstrate a practical understanding and application of a pastoral approach to the problem

  • The student must develop a tangible blueprint for training other to address the issue.

OUTCOME #4: Academically competent to know how to research any topic and possess the critical thinking skills required to reason through problems with the assistance of the Holy Spirit

  • The student must exhibit genuine research that specifically relates to their thesis statement

  • The student must display critical thinking skills in their approach to a new model

OUTCOME #5: Personally competent to study God’s Word from a devotional perspective to develop Christ-like character as a disciple of Jesus Christ

  • The student must exemplify the character of God in their response to the problem

  • The student must indicate how their research has personally impacted them and can serve to help others.

OUTCOME #6: Communicatively competent to share their personal faith, whether orally or written, for the growth of the Kingdom of God

  • The student must communicate their message with clarity so everyone can easily understand their thesis statement

  • The student must communicate their message convincingly so as to persuade the reader that new model is viable and useful
